Mulligan's - Pelvic Girdle Course | Anatomy Resources
It is a great pleasure to be able to welcome Mr. Mark Oliver to AAP Education in 2012. Mark brings his vast experience of treatment skills and clinical creativity. From his depth of knowledge, inquisitiveness and intuition, Mark has created courses based upon Brian Mulligan's treatment philosophies
for areas of the human body that many clinicians "avoid", namely the pelvic girdle and TMJ. This year we provide the opportunity to attend his Pelvic Girdle 2 day course which is presented around the world. A truly "must do" course for clinicians, see here for more course details and enrollment.
As a nod in the direction of technology, I have started to review different available formats to learn anatomy. The traditional print media is certainly a fantastic and rock basic method most are familiar with. We have listed our anatomy recommendations for readers here. You will first need to be logged on as a Bronze member to see these resources.
Next on the list of learning tools is to see the real "flesh and bone". These web lab sessions (that put so many off corned beef) provided us all with our first true window into human function. Because this is such an important learning tool, we have worked hard to replicate this learning tool and provide wet labs specific to our anatomical acupuncture program twice a year. Past course participants are welcome to attend and full course details can be found here.
The most recent tool to have appeared is the computer generated image. Taking the power of computers and imputing huge volumes of information they provide a realistic 3D image of skeletal and muscular function without singeing the olfactory nerve. Ones that I have come across include;
