Happy New Year! Being born on the 13th, and having my 18th and 21st birthdays on black Fridays, I have been looking forward to this year for a while.

Upcoming Course

For those clinicians wanting that professional development kick start to 2013, we only have 4-5 positions still available for each of our January, Anatomical Acupuncture Program courses. Full course details can be found here for the;

New changes for 2013

We have completely revised our Clinical Resources section greatly expanding the Outcome Measures section and Screening Tools. These will provide you with all the questionnaires that you require to use with clients to gain objective data on injury stage and other influencing factors. The Outcome Measures is divided into Area Specific (Spine, Upper Limb and Lower Limb), Pain & Generic. There are over 20 questionnaires covering all body regions along with scoring, reference and validity articles for those wanting to know the intimate details. The Screening Tools section contains 10 very useful risk identification questionnaires to provide important information on the yellow flag components of assessment.

This information has been sorted and compiled with the assistance of Philip Gabel who has just completed his PhD in this area and published several of his own validated questionnaires and created an online software package called AdviseRehab that uses this information and predicts time frames to recovery. Philip will be providing a course later in 2013.

We have also listed in response to inquiries, Text booksthat we recommend directly in relation to courses or to broaden understanding of a specific subject.

All the best,

Doug Cary FACP APAM
