Key Moves 4 Spinal Rehab Sydney series: Module 1 - The spine

A PARADIGM SHIFT IN SPINAL REHABILITATION

This practical evidence informed workshop integrates function in the nervous, myofascial and joint systems in the control of the spine and related mechanisms. It will highlight the common observable changes in posturo-movement of the spine and show you how to care for the spine and re-establish effective control of the deep axial support and stabilisation system – and its integration with optimal breathing patterns. This will also provide some new insights into postural control and aligning the thorax - and examine some of the myths around ‘core control’ and ‘deep breathing’.

The Key Moves 4 Spinal Rehab Sydney series; Module 2 - A unique look at the pelvis

A PARADIGM SHIFT IN SPINAL REHABILITATION

This practical evidence informed workshop will cover the common patterns of pelvic posturo-movement dysfunction and the role of the Pelvic Fundamental Patterns in the initiation and control of healthy posture and movement from the base of the spine and the pelvis/hip - and how to re-establish these to regain effective functional control. The workshop will also examine many of the misunderstandings around ‘glute strength’, ‘lumbar neutral spine’ and pelvic floor function.

A PARADIGM SHIFT IN SPINAL REHABILITATION

This practical evidence informed workshop will highlight the features of healthy patterns of upper spinal movement control and the common patterns of posturo-movement dysfunction which usually underpin upper spinal problems and many associated pain disorders of the upper quadrant. You will gain unique insights into shoulder function and the important role of the Head and Shoulder Fundamental Patterns and the re-establishment of these in the effective rehabilitation of upper spinal and many upper quadrant pains.
