The only real way to know if you need help with your clinical skills is to score yourself as objectively as possible in each of the areas as a health professional service provider as outlined below.
This Clinical ScoreCard is designed to help you understand exactly where you are with your clinical skills. What's working, what's not working and where do you need to pay the most attention to improve your client management.
Like a numerical pain rating scale, score yourself from 0 to 10 for each statement below. Just put your score in the fields provided and the subtotals and total will fill in automatically. Score yourself based on the frequency you implement each of the items listed in the scorecard.
0 - Never
2 - Sporadically
4 - Inconsistently
6 - Occasionally
8 - Consistently
10 - Always
A note about this scorecard. The areas on the scorecard are all action-oriented items.They are areas you need to know, do and have, to be a good clinician. The trick is recognising what areas to improve on and then how to get there.

Total your score and divide by 2 for your Final Score. Your score indicates how successful you are overall at managing a range of acute, subacute and chronic clients, that present with a variety of clinical conditions.
0 to 20 - You are struggling to manage clients and feel overwhelmed with case management
21 to 40 - Your successes with clients are hit and miss
41 to 60 - It is a struggle to predict client outcomes from your management strategies
61 to 80 - You have good clinical skills over a range of body areas, time frames and chronicity
81 to 100 – You enjoy your work, professional development and teaching
