Stick Mobility Tweed Heads
1. Introduction to Stick Mobility principles:
• Leverage
• Stability
• Proprioception - feedback and co-ordination
• Irradiation - recruitment of neighbouring muscles
• Isometric strength
2. Instruction, demonstration and practice of exercises – joint mobilising, isolated strengthening, fascial mobilisation and combinations of the above
3. Introduction to the concept of partner exercises
4. Run through of 2 x 1 hour Stick Mobility class examples for those who wish to run Group Exercise sessions
5. Practice teaching Stick Mobility exercises to fellow attendees
The Stick Mobility course is a physical course and the majority of the two days are spent doing practical exercises. Attendees can work at their own pace so it is suitable for all fitness levels. Following the course, the attendees should be competent to teach Stick Mobility classes or incorporate the Stick Mobility principles and exercises working 1:1 with individual patients/clients.
Completion of the course enables access to 112 online instructional videos, plus 12 video examples of 1 hour classes, plus another 22 videos of more advanced mobility, strength and stretching exercises
